Fusion Productions announces e-learning client, DRI International, has become the only organization of its kind to offer courses online. DRI International, is the industry leader in the field of Business Continuity Management (BCM) training and now offers nine online courses from its introductory series to audiences throughout the world.
Since the launch of the first course in the series in the summer of 2003, the demand has been so strong that courses have been selling in advance of their live debut. DRII's online courses have been selling widely in the U.S. and Canada, and as far away as Portugal. Among the customers purchasing online courses include individuals from corporations such as IBM, Halliburton, Dell, Lycos, Ceridian, AC Nielsen, and the U.S. military.
Fusion helped DRII work through the challenges of bringing live, instructor-led certification courses, rich with case studies and student dialogue, to an online format. As DRII’s subject matter expert rewrote much of the content for the existing live sessions, Fusion concurrently created interactive exercises and imaginative graphics, and other online resources, to engage the student. To accommodate the diverse international audience, Fusion introduced a less “conversational” tone that is typical for courses designed for native English speakers.
According to, Tom Mawson, Executive Director, DRI International, “DRII is now able to realize a dream of the organization since its creation in 1988—the ability to deliver our standardized body-of-knowledge in business continuity management in a convenient, cost-effective format to a worldwide audience."
