Fusion Productions and SAE International Partner to Celebrate 100 Years of Automotive History

(January 2004)

SAE International (The Society of Automotive Engineers) announced that it has retained meetings/communications company Fusion Productions to develop events, branding messages and media around SAE’s year-long centennial celebration in 2005.

The 84,000-member association represents engineers, educators, industry executives, government officials and students.

SAE has a primary mission to advance mobility technology to better serve humanity. Fusion will assist in the development of marketing and branding messages to leverage the increased visibility SAE anticipates as it celebrates its 100th year. “We were impressed with Fusion’s creativity and track record,” said Connie Eren, SAE’s Manager of Corporate Services, “as well as their understanding of the association community and the kinds of unique opportunities that will become available to us over the next 18 months.” She also commented on Fusion’s leadership in the area of generating ROI from events. According to Eren, although details of the agreement are not yet finalized, Fusion will handle production and creative consulting at a variety of levels with an ultimate goal of increasing coordination, enhancing the SAE brand, and increasing awareness of SAE and its mission among its constituents and the public.

Fusion President Hugh Lee called the project an exciting opportunity for Fusion to “offer all of our high-end, strategic communication services, and to integrate one common brand and message throughout all of SAE’s meetings and events, celebration videos, print and digital media, and other messaging vehicles.”

Fusion Productions is a full-service production company that creates customized member experiences whether on stage or on a desktop through the integration of meetings, learning and technology. Fusion is well known to the association community for their ground-breaking technology research, consulting and seminars.
