Fusion Teams Up With the World’s Largest Retail Trade Association to Produce Annual Convention

(January 2003)

Designed and developed by Fusion Productions, the National Retail Federation's Retail’s BIG Show, gathered industry leaders for three days of educational sessions, discussions of best practices and new technologies, and tips to improve existing operations and grow profits.

"Fusion delivered a Nordstrom-style level of service not only to our planning team but also to our VIP CEO speakers who are some of the toughest to please. Our goal was to deliver a high quality and provocative program to our retail executives and Fusion did so with style and excellence," exclaimed Lee Ann Burr, Vice President of Conferences.

Gordon Segal, CEO of Crate & Barrel said, "Good product and exceptional service drive the loyalty we retailers covet, but in this day and age you need to be on top of the latest trends and technology, constantly looking to improve. There is no better place to explore the changing marketplace than the NRF Annual Convention."

Led by long-time producer Deb Stoetzel, Fusion coordinated with Daryka Anderson and Lee Ann Burr, leaders of the NRF Convention Planning Team, a series of high impact industry panel presentations featuring CEO's from some of the world's most successful retailers. Employing creative and cost effective staging that offered many different looks, in combination with a series of NRF-brand animated video opening modules for each CEO panel, Fusion created an engaging backdrop. Stage managers and VIP speech coaches helped to make presenters comfortable during rehearsals and impromptu coaching sessions.

Judging from the outcomes of the 2003 Convention, NRF and Fusion are planning futher collaboration in 2004.
