Due to a high demand from its members for timely education and the need to develop courses rapidly to keep up with constant regulatory changes, RAPS decided to create an entire online University to host dozens of courses that would also create a significant revenue stream for the association. Its long-term goal was to eventually develop all courses internally and therefore required more than just a learning management system. Through Fusion’s partnership with WBT Systems, RAPS chose to purchase WBT’s TopClass LCMS. Fusion developed the first few courses for RAPS to get them accustomed to using the development tool within TopClass.
 Within a few months, RAPS started to develop all courses internally, taking advantage of the quick course development tools, simple online test creation, and the use of learning objects.  RAPS also is making use of the course catalog feature, advance registration for both online and classroom based courses, and many other additional tracking features that are part of the WBT LCMS platform.  |
