Organization
Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) is a successful traditional-model state medical association, representing 15,000 physicians in the State of Ohio. The OSMA has been very successful in their lobbying efforts and have successfully advocated for their membership in issues surrounding the business of the practice of medicine.
Challenge
The organization was suffering decreasing membership, decreasing revenues and a perceived decrease in relevance to their members. The demographics of the organization were transitioning and the membership seemed to be less and less engaged. The OSMA was beginning to lose on the battleground for membership dollars.
