Associations: digitalNow (now DigitalNow: Association Leadership) is a conference co-branded by Fusion Productions, ASAE, and Disney Institute. Its mission is to provide Internet strategy and business analysis skills for association CEOs.

Challenge

Associations are traditionally slow to adapt technology, and to react to the kinds of business model changes necessary to compete in today's information technology-driven economy. Because of this, they became prime targets for "dot.com" exploitation.

Solution

  • Create an immersive, "safe" environment where CEOs and volunteer leaders from some of the world's largest associations could come together to learn and network around a single topic.
  • Employ leading business visionaries to give them a glimpse at what associations could become if they succeed.
  • Use the audience (the major stakeholders) to design the program by extensive pre- and during- the conference surveys and polling.
  • Create a post-conference community to continue the learning and motivation off site.

Results

DigitalNow has become an annual offering in conjunction with ASAE, and is part of their newly created "Signature Series."
