ACCE.org Web Site Redesign and Content Management Implementation

Fusion Productions developed a redesign of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives web site and migrated the content into Ektron's CMS400 content management system (CMS), which allows ACCE staff to update web site content immediately via distributed publishing. A new graphic design was created and implemented using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS2) and web standards to enhance accessibility and ease of maintenance.

ACCE's New Web Site
Fusion also designed a metadata scheme that allows ACCE staff to "tag" content with information to enable the dynamic display of links to content by date and topic as well as to automatically create archives of news and publications, which greatly speeds up the updating process. For example, about 80% of the home page is updated automatically with links to new content across the web site as it is published. Special portal pages were also created, and get updated automatically, for each of 6 Topic areas and 5 Divisions, ACCE's equivalent of Speical Interest Groups.
Automatic updates

Members now login once to the web site to access all of ACCE's restricted content and applications as well as to access the back-end Association Management System (AMS) and WebBoard (third-party discussion board software) without having to login again. Also, members now have direct links from the web site to various AMS self-service pages, which used to require multiple clicks to reach. These self-service pages include updating their info, viewing their activity within the association and finding peers with the same interests.
