Each year, Fusion captures selected content from The Liver Meeting of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD). The content is then converted into a Flash-based software that allows Fusion to easily synchronize the audio files with the PowerPoint slides to create an online presentation available to users around the clock. Additional materials and an online survey are usually included.
 The sessions are hosted with the Intralearn Learning Management System so that AASLD can track the users taking advantage of this format. It also provides one central area for users to access the current year’s presentations as well as past presentations. Users can navigate anywhere within the presentation using slide titles or thumbnail images of the slides.  In order to provide CME credits, an online survey is part of the presentation. Each user who is interested in gaining credits must complete the survey, and is then provided an electronic certificate of completion.  The thumbnail view can be browsed at nine views per page. Double clicking on any thumbnail navigates the user to that point in the full screen presentation.  |
