Julie S. McKown – Creative Producer

Julie’s eclectic communication, writing, and technical background, together with her creative production and performance experience provide her with a multidisciplinary perspective of communications events, of the tools and processes that enable them, and of the business and association environments they serve.

 

In her work as a creative writer, Julie has written a full-length screenplay, and published two non-fiction books, one of which received an award from Writer’s Digest magazine. As a recording artist, Julie developed and produced a full-length CD of original vocal music, and two organization theme songs – one for Special Olympics, and another —which was officially recognized by New York’s Governor George Pataki—to promote community domestic violence awareness,.

 

Julie’s sophisticated business writing experience includes technical writing for Xerox, where she designed and wrote online help files for the Xerox DocuScan 620S scanner, as well as for other Xerox consumer products.

 

As a Marketing/Communications Specialist for EDS, Julie supported clients through communication strategy development and execution including web content development, instructional design, marketing and sales communications, and emergency virus and service outage alerts.

 

She holds a B.A. in Writing and Literature, and considers herself a life-long learner. In addition to being an avid reader, Julie is a movie buff, and a fitness enthusiast.
